W.W. Smith Charitable Trust

The W.W. Smith Charitable Trust is a private foundation dedicated to supporting basic needs, higher education scholarships, maritime education, and medical research primarily for Heart Disease, Cancer, and AIDS.  


With few exceptions, grants are limited to organizations within the five-county Greater Philadelphia area (Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, Philadelphia counties) and Camden, NJ.

Campbell Soup Foundation awarded grants to 32 nonprofit organizations last year working to improve lives in communities where Campbell’s operates.

Meals on Wheels of Chester County was selected to receive a $15,000 grant by BJ’s Wholesale Club Inc. as part of the company’s 40th anniversary celebration.


BJ’s Wholesale Club announced grants to 70 community organizations that were nominated by its team members. Recipients were chosen for their local impact in areas of hunger relief, education and health and wellness.

MOWCC focus is on vulnerable seniors with limited resources and/or limited family support living in Chester County, PA.

Meals on Wheels of Chester County appreciates the support and the 2024 grant of $2,000 to purchase nutritious meals for our homebound seniors residing in the West Chester borough. This generous grant will be used to purchase hot, fresh, nutritious meals for over 160 senior homebound neighbors in the greater West Chester area.
